new features
I got a little bored with the website so I decided to add some stuff.
The site is now registered to brave rewards which allows people holding BAT to contribute directly to the site’s upkeep.
First up: you can now subscribe for updates at https://ninethehacker.xyz/rss. This feature was actually easier than I thought it would be. It updates when I start an article, not finish it so expect to see some raw content if you subscribe.
I’m now tracking views. I didn’t feel like doing session tracking, it’s trivial but this was a couple of lines to set up. I only want a ballpark estimate of what people are looking at, I don’t think people are going to line up to buy a personal page or really care about accurate engagement figures.
The little beer mug button in the bottom right. It’s like a like button, but you can click it as much as you feel like. Again, could set up a bunch of infrastructure and tracking to get more accurate numbers but nobody is going out of their way to register, comment, or engage with a small personal blog.
Fixed irritating bug where some versions of chrome would not display the ayyylmao favicon.
Have at it lads.
