I’ve been planning to build an ebike for a while, this is the first steps towards building it. I’m planning on using electric skateboard electronics ala Tom Stanton. For portability and form factor (and what I have to hand) I will be using a BMX frame. For convenience and repeatability I will be using a 3d printer for the mounting hardware.

Ideally I’d like to go with a direct drive, mid mount build, provided the hardware can support it.
